We all know that moisture is the essence of skin health and beauty. But did you know what is one of the most powerful humectants known?
Hyaluronic acid
In fact, one gram of hyaluronic acid holds about 1000 ml of water!
As we age, skin moisture can significantly drop, which causes the appearance of signs of aging such as notable loss of elasticity (sagging skin) and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid, with its unique ability to hold moisture, plays a critical role in skin health, plumping your facial features for a more supple, youthful complexion.
Did you know that: Hyaluronic acid is a natural molecule of sugar (polysaccharides) that occurs naturally in the skin and connective tissue structures.
Applied with a cream or serum, Hyaluronic acid penetrates into the dermis significantly boosting the elasticity and hydration of the skin.
Hyaluronic acid protects the skin from UVB rays and, moreover, from the reactive oxygen, which can cause sunspots.
If moisture is the essence of skin beauty, you definitely need a skin care product with Hyaluronic acid for everyday use.

Firstly, it important to say that aging is a natural process that everyone undergoes at her or his own time. We may see the lines on our face and notice that our skin is becoming drier and thinner. This process is largely controlled by our genes and calls “intrinsic aging.” However, we definitely can influence another type of aging that affects our skin, - “extrinsic aging.” How?
In its products Luksha Cosmetics uses a variety of high-tech powerful components which target aging skin.
Let briefly consider some of them.
Plant Stem Cells - is a revolutionary anti-aging active ingredient based on a high-tech plant cell culture technology. This component increases the longevity of skin stem cells and effectively combats chronological aging. As plant stem cells have similar epigenetic factors (factors, which interact with the genetic material of a cell) to those of human stem cells, they increase the vitality of the epidermis stem cells and ensure their proper functioning.
Decorinyl® is a tetrapeptide which is a mimic of the sequences of decorin that specifically bind to collagen fibrils. It has proved to regulate fibrillogenesis, control collagen fibril diameter and increase skin suppleness, due to a better cohesion of collagen fibers which provides higher resiliency, improving skin appearance.
Trylagen® is a combination of active peptides and proteins that provide a very efficient treatment to restore the collagen levels of mature skin, maintaining an adequate long-lasting collagen function that will ensure a healthy and youthful complexion.
Coenzyme Q10 is one of the essential elements in the biochemical machinery that produces ATP (biological energy) inside the cells. In addition, it is a powerful antioxidant (neutralizes harmful free radicals, which are one of the causes of aging). When we reach our 35-40s, the level of CoQ10 in the skin is becoming below optimum, resulting in lesser ability to produce elastin, collagen, and other essential molecules. CoQ10 boosts skin regeneration and repairing processes reducing free radical damage. Also important that CoQ10 is a small molecule that can relatively easily penetrate deep into skin cells.
Matrixyl 3000 is the compound of two peptides (palmitoyl-tripeptide and palmitoyl-oligopeptide). According to the recent studies, they can nearly double the amount of the protein collagen needed to give skin its elasticity. These peptides work synergistically to mimic the appearance of broken down collagen, causing the skin to react by producing more collagen and elastin.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil works as a carrier helping the essential ingredients of the emulsion to penetrate deep into the epidermis. Moreover, due to its similar composition with the natural sebum (skin oil), this precious oil is easily absorbed deep into the skin restoring and moisturizing the epidermis.

Clear, smooth, glowing skin, which is free of pimples, blackheads, and other imperfections sometimes seems to be an elusive goal. However, it`s definitely real.
Correct cleaning procedure might contribute to the healthy skin a lot! Many people with oily skin believe that their skin needs a strong "grease cutting" product (gel or soap, for instance), but in reality, these products only worsen the skin condition. Such products strip the oil out of our skin, leaving it completely dry trying to repair itself by replacing its oil, which was removed. This launches a cycle of being tight and dry followed by the inevitable excessive oil production as a compensation for the lack of moisture. Thus, each time we strip the oil away, our skin reacts by creating much more oil.
If so, how to clean the skin correctly?
First of all, let's keep in mind that oil dissolves oil. Our epidermis naturally lubricates itself with oil (sebum) as it essential for the skin healthy functioning. Note, that skin oil is naturally occurring; it moisturizes, lubricates, heals, and protects our skin. So, let`s work with our skin, not against it!
At present, many beauty professionals strongly believe that the correct way to clean the skin is to do it with cleansing oil. The cleansing oil effectively dissolves the skin sebum that stuck in the pores and allows all of the impurities to be easily removed. At the same time, it provides the necessary lubrication to the epidermis, which protects it from over-compensation of oil production.
The skin, which is cleaned properly functions well.
It is clear, beautiful, and glowing!

I believe, we experience the fantastic winter in Vancouver this year! There are so many opportunities for outdoor activities and fun for the whole family!
But how your skin reacts to the cold weather? Sometimes we need a special skincare product during a winter to protect the skin against dryness and irritation.
There is an amazing ingredient we have for the winter cream - antarcticine. This is a compound with Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract derived from a bacteria found in the mud of Antarctic by Spanish scientists. As this bacteria lives in extreme cold, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract has the fantastic cryoprotective effect (1% of this extract doesn`t freeze up to -30C). Moreover, the tests show that Antarcticine effectively prevents cutaneous dryness via retaining water, increases regeneration of tissues, increases production of collagen, which results in the improved constitution of the skin and significant reduction of wrinkles. In addition, it`s a powerful anti-couperose agent (protects your blood vessels from damage in cold).
Enjoy the winter and stay beautiful!)

What makes the skin care product not only pleasant but also truly effective? We believe that the wise combination of natural organic ingredients and scientific approach can make a great product!
Luksha Cellular Cream with Plant Stem Cells, Tetrapeptides, and Poria Cocos Polysaccharide is the daily cream for mature skin.
Made in BC, Canada.
One of the main ingredients of this cream is Plant Stem Cells.
What do we know about them?
Plant Stem Cells (PhytoCellTec™) - is a revolutionary anti-aging active ingredient based on a high-tech plant cell culture technology. This component increases longevity of skin stem cells and effectively combats chronological aging.
Why? Human stem cells of the skin are located in the basal layer of the epidermis. They might look similar to other skin cells, however, they have a unique function to constantly restore and renew the epidermis. In young age, the epidermis is able to fully renew itself every month. This process is slowing down as we age. Moreover, the actual number of skin stem cells declines along with deterioration in their vitality. Thus, it is crucial to maintain the life force of the actual stem cells and keep their rejuvenating function as long as possible. As plant stem cells have similar epigenetic factors (factors, which interact with genetic material of a cell) to those of human stem cells, they increase the vitality of the epidermis stem cells and ensure their proper functioning.
